This winter I was lucky enough to have a very good friend of mine from back in the day ask me to help with her wedding. I was honored and it was so lovely to see one of my great friends so happy with her adoring fiancé. The wedding took place at The City Club, one of my favorite art deco style buildings in SF and the two of them had an amazing group of friends and family help them celebrate into the late night.
I had so much fun creating this wedding with these two – we had the best time with some fab La Tavola linens to sass up the after party lounge and we found amazing vintage framed chalkboards and made these antique looking escort card keys – but all those fun details will come in Part 2.
This was the first time I had worked with Andrew Weeks Photography and he was the best – his photos below truly capture how sweet Emily and Alex are with each other. More to come!
I am thrilled to share this next wedding with you from this summer up at Kunde Family Estate Winery – which in my mind is one of the MOST stunning wedding locations in either Valley. I fell in love with it at first sight and need to have my vow renewal or a big birthday bash here one day. Such a great venue to work with.
Kelly and Mike we passed my way by a good friend and someone who I truly admire in the wedding business, Kiley Walker. She was to be a guest at this wedding and I was so honored to be recommended by her.
This couple is hands down the sweetest and most adorable couple. They were incrediby involved in every detail ensuring that their day was completely about them and that their guests were well taken care of.
I had the pleasure of working with Julio Duffoo for the first time, and I am blown away by his photography – I hope he and I can work together again! Enjoy!
I was lucky enough to have Paul and Emily as a couple last year (and then had them featured on Style Me Pretty!!!) And in getting to know them throughout the planning process, I fell madly in love with Emily and the happiness she exudes no matter the situation. Back then, she gave me a sneak peek of the new line of jewelry she was launching and I was mesmerized by the genius way she figured out how to wear your ring on a necklace without ever taking the chain off. I was in awe and so proud of her.
Near her one year wedding anniversary this year, she was in town and we were getting together to be ladies who lunch. I was so excited to see her. And I was over the moon when she presented me with the sweetest gift in the world, a necklace by emily c.
One of my most cherished rings is my eternity band I received as a 5 years of wedded bliss gift from my rad hubby. However, as most ladies who own an eternity band know, they are super hard to keep clean and protect. With my amazing little necklace from Emily I just slip my band right on! I love it SO MUCH. Just had to share! Ladies, if you love your ring – go get one!

Happy Monday! I stumbled across this photo last night while setting up Barn Lovely’s post today featuring Mary McHenry and it took my breath away a little! Mary shot this with one of her couples during an engagement session and it is just so subtle yet full of love. Take a peek! xo

We’ve been busy bees prepping for our Spring weddings – we’ve got quite a few this season! And I seriously love Spring weddings – the flower options alone make me giddy! Ranunculus and I are BFFs.
I wanted to share some inspiration today via a new blog find. I have my go-to wedding blog reads, but I truly believe that inspiration for your wedding can be found anywhere and everywhere. One of my new daily reads and blog loves is Poppy Haus. There is amazing mix of stories and ideas from the talented Heather Jennings who shares her fab insights on decor, DIY fun, food and life.
One of her recent posts featured a twist on the mason jar that is a huge trend in weddings right now. Before the mason jar leaves the wedding world behind, I see this decor item being used in new and creative ways. I fell a bit in love with this chandelier and can see it hanging in a gorgeous oak tree lighting an outdoor reception. Check out the Etsy site of the chandelier’s designers – Boots N Gus – they have many more amazing ways to light up your life!
Please go explore Poppy Haus and follow Heather’s boards on Pinterest – darn good inspiration!
You NEED to know about this website. NEED. And let me tell you why…there’s a fancy event coming up, a wedding, a milestone birthday, a family reunion, and you are out shopping for your gent, little or big, and you are SUPER frustrated at all the icky ties that are out there – right?? Whether it be the material, color or pattern, they are just not quite perfect!
Well, that’s where Dapper Beaux comes in – an adorable collection of “handmade trimmings for gents”. This lovely little site links to the Etsy storefront and here you find some fabulous little gems. Or email Dapper Beaux, provide the fabric, and they will make you a custom tie, just for you.
I heard a rumor that they have a ton of amazing vintage fabrics too – can’t wait to see some more pop up on the Etsy shop soon! But no there are no excuses for having the gents all fancy!
I’ve been a bit timid of the neon brights that have been seen in the fashion world lately but I have to say, I stumbled upon these gorgeous dresses from the fabulous Jason Wu and his Spring 2012 collection and I must say, I wouldn’t mind sporting these frocks! I might need a quick spray tan before donning these gowns for sure though!
So excited to see what dresses the Oscars bring out tonight on the red carpet!
What do you think? Can you rock the bright trend? What stars will show the brights tonight?
Hello Friends! I have been waiting so long to share today’s real wedding with you all!! It was featured late this afternoon on Style Me Pretty and I really am so very excited about how amazing planning and designing this wedding with Emily and Paul was.
I can’t tell you how much fun these two were as clients, and I hate to call them that, as they are truly now my very good friends. They were a dream to work with and I think I may have to say that I have never had so much fun planning and designing a wedding. I mean come on – when they told me they wanted a ferris wheel and sno-cone cocktails!?! Who wouldn’t want to be a part of that! I will never forget the first day I met Emily – pure joy radiates from this girl – and I thought to myself – I NEED to help her with this wedding! I knew we were destined to be planner and client. Check out the First Look photo of them releasing balloons below – that was Emily’s idea – hiding behind balloons and then letting them go to reveal themselves to each other – it was seriously adorable.
Please hop over to Style Me Pretty to see the full gallery – I just have a small peek here. Also, working with Michael Segal, who is simply incredible behind the camera, was a dream come true.
