Welcome 2012!

I hope you all rung in the New Year in style! It’s fun to read about people who do and don’t believe in resolutions and how they handle this new beginning. I tend to love the “fresh start” and feel rejuvenated and excited about all of the potential the new year brings with it. A few days after the new year kicks off, I also celebrate my birthday, so I look at my birthday as part of this new year that will lead to a better me.

I don’t make any hard and fast resolutions, I just dream big. And I love when I get to see my dreams come true. Many of them did in 2011 and I can’t wait to see what 2012 brings. Some are personal, just for me, myself and I, some are shared within my family and some are for all to know.

I do know I will continue to make Trisha Dean Events are very fun and special part of my life. I loved each and every one of my 2011 couples and can’t wait to celebrate with my 2012 ones.

I also have some new ideas up my sleeve and hope to be unveiling them to you shortly. I am so excited about sharing them with you and hope you will continue to be an avid reader and fan. Until then, hold tight and keep dreaming! Love, happiness and health to you and your loved ones as this new year unfolds.

xoxo

Real Wedding – Flood Mansion, SF – Ashley & Marshall

Hi all! Christy here, and I am so excited to share this wedding with you! A classic San Francisco wedding captures my heart every time and this was certainly no exception.  Ashley and Marshall recited their vows in the historic Swedenborgian Church and danced the night away at their reception in the pristine Flood Mansion.  The day was a dream…from the city-by-the-bay weather, to the timeless pictures at the Mark Hopkins Hotel, the cable car trolley bus, and the balcony of the Flood.

I loved being part of the day, truly.  Watching Ashley and Marshall steal kisses, and share sweet smiles during the toasts…I just felt so darn happy for them!  It was a wonderful day and I’m proud to share the details now!

Cheers!

All I Want for Christmas…

Every day I am lucky enough to whiz by this little count down clock that tells me how many days are left until Christmas. And every day my heart does a little skip as it gets closer and I am still not ready! So, as I sit here and surf the net for gifts to buy for friends and family, I thought I would share some of my found loves with you!

I have yet to sucumb to the Ugg Boot, but this one may break me.

Because it is red, and cushy and has a heart on it.

Who doesn’t adore a good patent leather bow on their bag!?

Why yes, there is a hint of a logo T pattern on these babies, T for Trisha of course!

I can think of a million places to wear them, all day and every day.

Lost one of these at a restaurant on date night last month, and miss them so. I think Santa should bring them back to me…

Wireless speakers in pretty colors? Yes please.

French. Lime. Blossom. Enough said.

Good luck out there little elves!

xoxo

Real Wedding – Palace Hotel, SF – Jessica & Hernand

Hello all! I hope you all had fantastically full Thanksgivings and that your holiday celebrations are in full swing!

We have another amazing wedding to share with you from this past summer. The Palace Hotel in San Francisco has such a great vibe. It is one of my favorite venues, especially The French Parlor. The architectural detail in the room is to die for.

Hernand and Jessica have a special place in my heart as clients. They are two of the sweetest, most genuine people and they were incredible to work with. Together, the three of us created a rich, romantic wedding with hints of 1940′s decor. Lots of soft golds, deep reds and feathers. One of my favorite floral designers Michael Daigian from Michael Daigian Designs created the amazing flowers, especially Jessica’s stunning cascade bouquet. My other favorite detail is the custom letterpress invitation from Flywheel Press.

The photographer is the lovely and talented Nicole Goddard. She is a pure joy and delight to work with. When I introduced Jessica and Hernand to Nicole I just knew they would hit it off. Hope you enjoy!

I thought this was a great wedding to bring us into the holiday season with it’s rich reds and golds. Much love to you all!
xoxo

Real Wedding – Hans Fahden Vineyards – Vanessa & Gregg

Happy Fall! I am so excited to share with you this gorgeous navy, orange and white wedding we did in the heart of wine country this September. Vanessa and Gregg are from Brooklyn, NY and wanted a Napa Valley destination wedding. We had so much fun searching for the perfect venue. They fell in love with the sweet charm of downtown Calistoga for their guest’s accommodations and the Hans Fahden winery for their big day. They invited their closest friends and family for a weekend starting Friday with the wedding and then spent Saturday touring the Valley’s best wineries. Hannah Suh was the photographer for the day and she was a dream to work with! Julie Stevens Design did the amazing florals – I think this might be my new favorite color combo! And how she managed to find anemones in September, the bride’s favorite flower, I will never know!

The deep blue glass chargers were one of my favorite things! We turned the front of the cave into a lounge area for post dinner drinks. They danced the night away to Bruce Springsteen as the groom has quite the thing for Bruce, but then again, who doesn’t!?
xoxo

Real Engagement Session – Nightingale Photography – Katie & Ian

A few weekends back, I had the pleasure of working with Christina Hernandez of Nightingale Photography on Katie and Ian’s wedding among the tall redwoods in Ben Lomond, CA. Christina is every planner’s dream photographer to work with – hip, fun, knows how to laugh even when the tough gets going – and she takes AH-mazing photos! I don’t have any wedding sneak peeks just yet, but I did want to share Katie and Ian’s darling engagement session from earlier this year. How to die for cute are these two! When you are done drooling over Christina’s photos here, next head over to her blog for more gorgeousness!

Real Wedding – Nestldown – Divya & Ben

Hi Thursday – it’s Christy reporting in! I am so happy to share a wedding I coordinated a few months ago at Nestldown in Los Gatos. The wedding was inspired by nature, bold yellows and bright oranges, great food and fabulous music. It was the kind of wedding that was so very personal…everything meant something and it all came together in a really beautiful way.

Divya and Ben got married in a redwood grove next to a pond on a beautiful Friday afternoon. The ceremony included Hindu traditions such as the Seven Steps and the reception included a comfort food buffet as well as an Indian food buffet. The whole day was so colorful and fun, I felt the love of Divya and Ben’s family and friends in so many ways—the toasts were all amazing! And the dancing…come on! How many weddings have Indian dance music followed by the Hora? I couldn’t stop smiling!

The team of vendors that Divya and Ben hired was amazing. It was a true pleasure for me to work so closely with the photographer Bonnie Tsang and Arlene from Cafe Primavera. Shawna from Flower Divas created stunning arrangements that included billy balls (love!) and made several very helpful adjustments on the fly (my hero!). Brooke, the venue coordinator at Nestldown is sooooo awesome. And my assistant for the day, Kaella Wilson, was (and is!) a rockstar.

Congratulations Divya and Ben!! Check out more pictures, the full vendor list and Divya’s own description on the 100 Layer Cake blog or cruise over to Bonnie Tsang‘s blog!

In June, we did a glamorous 1940′s theme wedding at The Palace Hotel. We can’t wait to see what stunning images Nicole Goddard shot – we are giddy with excitement to see and will post them as soon as we can! But in the meantime I wanted to share the stunning letterpress invites that Amber of Flywheel Press designed for our couple. Her designs are amazing, her attention to detail flawless and her customer service is out of this world. LOVE!
